Human Resource Group is proud to have teamed up with our client, the Bay of Plenty's leading integrated horticulture and produce company that grows, processes, distributes and markets high quality produce to world markets. This international business is focused on orchard-to-market excellence. This progressive NZX-listed company with revenues in excess of $200m continues to expand its product portfolio, capture value in emerging markets and grow its geographical reach. To support this growth, they are creating this new role which will play an integral part in their finance team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a successful track record of experience in commercial financial and management accounting. You will be highly driven and motivated to succeed.
In the role of Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, management information and analysis of specific operating divisions within the business. This includes all accounting aspects of the Australian operations, and support for the group’s financial reporting and year-end audit process. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and Commercial Finance Manager to ensure financial information is delivered to the business managers and executive team.
To succeed in this role, you must be a focused, self-starting and a confident communicator. As an experienced accountant you will have strong problem solving skills and be able to work through to logical solutions.

The position will report to the Group Financial Controller
Desired skills, attributes and experience:
- CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years post qualified experience
- Experience in producing accurate and timely reports and providing analysis on the reports
- Insightful, a strong communicator and a committed team player
- Positive, proactive and committed to career development
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
